3rd Grade Rules

  1. All players must be current members of US Lacrosse.
  2. Each game is two 24 minute running time halfs with 2 minute halftimes and the Officials are responsible for the game clock. Games must start and end on-time. Coaches can decide when to take a break.
  3. Parents MUST sit on the sideline opposite the team benches. Bench side on Fields 2 and 3 is the side to the east (nearest to Route 206)
  4. Only one (1) coach is permitted on the field for instruction.
  5. No man up / man down. If a foul occurs, send the player off the field for a replacement.
  6. No long poles.
  7. Minimum one pass requirement is in effect. Every time the team in possession transitions from defense to offense by crossing midfield they must make at least one pass before a shot is attempted. The same applies after gaining possession on a face-off.  The one pass requirement only resets after the opposing team successfully clears past midfield.   So if a team attempted a pass, turns the ball over, then wins the ball back in a ride they can go right to goal.
  8. ABSOLUTELY NO BODY CHECKING.
